Lexus certifies wider used fleet
Lexus is offering access to a new certified used car programLexus has announced a new certified used car program that it says has the potential to cover a significant proportion of the vehicles it has sold Down Under.
The Lexus Certified Pre-owned program applies to all Lexus models less than eight years old that have covered less than 120,000km. To be eligible the vehicle must have been service by Lexus dealers and have a "up-to-date" service logbook the maker says.
The program will include a used vehicle warranty. Any purchaser of a Certified Pre-owned Lexus has access not only to the warranty, but also to some of the special customer services offered to purchasers of new Lexus vehicles. These include free pick-up and delivery of the car when servcing or the provision of a loan car.
Lexus has operated a Certified Pre-owned program for some time, but it has been available only on certain models.
The warranty coverage included in the new Lexus Certified Pre-owned package offers owners coverage for 24 months or until the vehicle reaches 180,000km.
Participating dealers are required to undertake a 68-point inspection and rectification program to ensure the certified vehicle complies with Lexus resale standards.
