Lexus CT200h facelift leak

Lexus to unveil a facelifted version of its small luxury hybrid car next year

These low-res photos supposedly depict the facelifted Lexus CT200h due to arrive locally next year.

The fruits of a sneaky brochure scan that appeared on IndianAutosBlog.com, and credited to an astute reader who posted the images on the site’s Facebook page, the re-jigged Lexus hybrid appears to have picked up Lexus's now-familiar spindle grille, prominent on the new Lexus IS.

The car in the images appears to be an F Sport model, which its honeycomb grille that brings to mind the LFA supercar, along with other tweaks aimed at upgrading its presence in the entry prestige sector.

The oversize five-spoke alloy wheels are another clue as to the vehicle's sportier intent.

All this, other than the facelifted CT200h’s Australian arrival next year, is unconfirmed, although the pictures do have a ring of credibility.

It’s assumed the facelifted car will feature the same front wheel drive, petrol-electric hybrid drivetrain as the current model, in which a 60kW electric motor is looked after by a 73kW 1.8-litre petrol engine.

We’ll know more when the new-look model surfaces next year.
