Lotus Evora GT 410 revealed
New variant to purportedly combine familiar performance with improved ride and refinementLotus has whipped the covers of a new variant of the Evora sports car.
Called the Evora GT 410, the newcomer is said to offer improved day-to-day comfort and refinement, while still adhering to the performance of the existing GT 410 Sport.
Australian prospects for the Evora GT 410 remain unknown at this stage. A spokesman for Lotus’ Australian distributor has confirmed to carsales.com.au that it is evaluating the car’s local market potential.
In the UK, the GT 410 differentiates itself from the more focussed GT 410 Sport with the standard fitment of air-conditioning, Sparco sports seats, improved door trims, added storage bins, a tailgate with a larger glass area, plus a reversing camera.
It is also $A5800 more affordable in the UK than the equivalent GT 410 Sport.
The comfort features are enhanced with quieter all-weather Michelin Pilot Sport 4S rubber, added sound proofing and a tweaked damper tune.
Under the bonnet resides an unchanged Toyota-sourced 3.5-litre supercharged V6 engine, offering 410 horsepower (306kW) and 400Nm. Mated to a six-speed manual gearbox, the driveline brings a 0-100km/h time of 4.2 seconds and a top rated speed of 300km/h. There’s also a six-speed automatic option.
Like the Evora GT 410 Sport, the more comfortable version gets Red AP Racing brake callipers and silver or gloss black V-spoke cast alloy wheels, along with cruise control, heated seats, and rear parking sensors.
The new models arrival coincides with minor changes to the Evora GT 410 Sport. More details on both cars and their Australian prospects are set to be confirmed in the coming weeks.
