Lotus has released a new video that shows a Lotus Evora GT410 Sport, complete with Christmas tree strapped to its rear bonnet lid, drifting around the car-maker's Hethel HQ at Norfolk in the UK.
Produced to wish all its fans a 'merry driftmas and a Hethel new year', the short entertaining video shows the Lotus Evora GT410 Sport cause havoc in and around the small British sports car-maker's factory.
Watch out for small cameos played by the car-maker's original Esprit and legendary Lotus 72 Formula 1 race car.
The Evora GT410 Sport that slides its way gracefully around roundabouts and other Lotus cars is powered by the firm's Toyota-sourced supercharged 3.5-litre V6 that produces 305kW and 420Nm of torque.
Weighing 28kg less than the original Evora 410 Sport, the GT version is said to feature special Ohlins dampers and a lighter and louder titanium exhaust.
That modest weight loss pays off with a 0-100km/h time of just 4.1 seconds for the manual (a six-speed auto is also available) -- 0.1 seconds faster than the 410 Sport. Top speed, meanwhile, is 305km/h.
Lotus has had a lot to grateful in 2018 following its purchase by Chinese car-making giant, Geely.
Expect 2019 to mark the beginning of the famous car-maker's resurgence because not only is Lotus well under way to replacing the elderly Elise, Exige and Evora, but it will also branch out and produce it first ever SUV.
Perhaps even more exciting for enthusiasts and fans of the brand, next year Lotus will also reveal a wild new concept for its top-secret Project Omega -- a $4 million pure-electric hypercar that it is creating to rival cars from McLaren, Ferrari and Bugatti.
