Geely-owned Lynk & Co has launched its new 05 SUV 'coupe' that has been created to steal sales from cars like the BMW X4 and Porsche's Macan.
Joining the 01 and 02 SUVs and the 03 sedan, the sporty 05 coupe-crossover will be accompanied in the Lynk & Co range by an 04 hatch.
Despite revealing full pictures of the 05, which has been developed for the Chinese market, limited details about the X4 rival have been revealed, other than it measures in at 4592mm long with a wheelbase of 2734mm.
It's based on Volvo's CMA architecture and under the bonnet is a mild-hybrid 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder powertrain that produces 187kW of powerand 350Nm of torque.
Later on, a turbocharged 1.5-litre turbo three-cylinder will also join the range as well as a full plug-in hybrid based around the same three-pot.
Inside, the cabin centres around a huge 12.7-inch infotainment system that looks more like a tablet.
Look closer and there's also a full digital instrument cluster.
The use of leather and plenty of premium materials clearly emphasises Lynk & Co's aspiration to challenge German car-makers with its latest offering.
The Swedish-based Chinese car-maker has already announced that it will begin selling cars in Europe in 2020, when buyers will 'purchase' their car via an innovative subscription service that sees them rent the car for a fixed price per month.
Included in the fee is insurance, full maintenance and registration costs, plus a lifetime warranty.
It's thought that since all Lynk & Co models are designed, developed and engineered for right-hand drive markets, a launch Down Under could be on the cards.
