Mazda Australia will introduce a range of special-edition 100th Anniversary models this year to celebrate the Japanese car maker’s centennial.
A limited run of Mazda’s key models – Mazda2, Mazda3, Mazda6, CX-3, CX-30, CX-5, CX-8, CX-9 and MX-5 – will be available in 2020, with allocation, pricing and exact arrival dates still to be confirmed.
Each 100th Anniversary model will be finished in Snowflake White Pearl Mica and adorned with special-edition badging on the key fob, front guards, wheel-centre caps, head restrains and floor mats.
Inside the cabin, every model gets Burgundy-coloured leather seat trims, floor mats and interior carpet. MX-5 convertibles will also get a Burgundy soft-top to match its interior.
Mazda says inspiration for its 100th Anniversary design came from its R360 Coupe, which arrived in 1960 with a similar white-and-burgundy two-tone colour combo.
The manufacturer says anyone keen on getting their hands on a Mazda 100th Anniversary Special Edition model should register their interest via its public website.
