Mazda Ryuga concept goes with the flow
Weeks after debuting its Nagare concept at the LA show, Mazda will showcase both the second-gen version and its hybrid-electric Tribute at next month's Detroit motor showMazda's concept car onslaught continues at next month's Detroit motor show with a another take on a car it unveiled only a fortnight ago at the Los Angeles motor show.
The all-new Ryuga concept will share centre stage with Mazda's Tribute Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) at next month's 2007 North American International Auto Show, to give it its full name. The curtain goes up on Mazda's stand on Monday, January 8.
The Ryuga -- so far seen only in this artist's impression -- is said to build on Mazda's concept of "flow". Hence the name of the LA Show concept, Nagare (more here) which is Japanese for "flow".
Because it's virtually the rapid-fire second generation of the Nagare, the Ryuga name means "gracious flow" in Japanese. Mazda says the new car will "... reflect a higher level of sophistication achieved through the use of rich fabrics, engineered tis and hidden details. Mazda Ryuga is elegant and refined, but with spirit and edge portraying unique Japanese beauty.
If the incredible Nagare is anything to go by, the Ryuga should be a knockout.
