Mercedes-Benz Australia has introduced three new special editions based on its largest GLE and GLS SUVs, with deliveries of the new models commencing shortly.
The first is the 2025 Mercedes GLE 450 4MATIC Coupe AMG Line Plus Edition, which costs $163,300 plus on-road costs – $300 less than the standard GLE 450 Coupe.
Despite being cheaper, the new AMG Line Plus Edition adds black 22-inch AMG five-spoke rims and an AMG front splitter, while within there are new faux leather seats with suede inserts. Air suspension is also included.
Further features include an AMG Line interior, multifunction sports steering wheel, larger AMG brakes, wireless charging, 360-degree camera and an infotainment system that incorporates Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The Mercedes-Benz GLE 300 d 4MATIC Edition 7, meanwhile, is priced at $141,800 plus on-road costs, which means it costs $5200 more than the standard car.
However, the Edition 7 throws in a seven-seat pack with an electrically adjustable and heated middle row plus 21-inch AMG alloy wheels. All up, it represents a $1400 saving over simply ticking options boxes on a standard GLE 300 d.
Other GLE 300 d Edition 7 features include augmented reality navigation, a powerful Burmester sound system, ambient lighting and a large panoramic sunroof.
The last special, the Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 d 4MATIC Edition 7, is based on Mercedes’ flagship GLS SUV. The good news here is the Edition 7 variant costs $171,000 plus on-road costs, which is a cool $18,100 less than the base car.
Despite the lower price, the special GLS gets Thermotronic multi-zone climate control, heat-insulating glass, a Nappa leather steering wheel, velour floor mats, heated and ventilated seats, a wireless charger and the Burmester sound system.
All three new special editions come with Benz’s latest drive assist tech that includes blind-spot assist, exit warning, traffic sign recognition and adaptive cruise with lane-keep assist.
One option not included on the two well-equipped Edition 7 specials is a towbar pack, which Benz will remedy for a further $3000.
On sale now, Mercedes-Benz Australia has announced that the GLE 450 4MATIC Coupe AMG Line Plus Edition, GLE 300 d 4MATIC SUV Edition 7 and GLS 450 d 4MATIC Edition 7 will all be available in strictly limited numbers, while stopping short of revealing how many examples of each it will import.
