New FPV models on the way

Ford's performance arm has been actively testing a new car at Calder — could this be GT-H?

A tip-off received at motoring.com.au suggests that FPV was at Calder a couple of weekends ago, testing a vehicle reportedly ready to go on sale at the end of August.

"We do have new FPV products coming shortly, we don't actually have a confirmed date," FPV Media Manager Vicky DeGeorge told motoring.com.au last week. "We're still in the process of sorting things out..."

No other details are available at this time, but based on a statement from FPV boss, Rod Barrett, it's one of an unspecified number of new products to be powered by a variant of the Miami supercharged engine.

"FPV is currently working on new product due for release sometime within the next 12 months. A version of the supercharged Miami engine sits at its heart and whilst we are excited by the opportunities we cannot say anymore at this moment."

Given a recent rise in web rumours concerning the GT-H, might this be one of the new models?
