BMW has settled on a replacement for former Australian MD Stavros Yallouridis. The new appointee is named Phil Horton, currently holding down the top spot for BMW in the Middle East.
Horton, who commenced working with BMW 15 years ago as the company's Marketing Director in the UK, will assume his new role officially with effect from February 1, 2011.
"Phil Horton has a proven track record in highly competitive markets around the world and he is perfectly suited to the task of driving the business in Australia," said Guenther Seemann, BMW's Regional Director for Asia, Pacific and South Africa.
Seemann has been holding the fort in Australia, following the unanticipated parting of the ways last month, when Yallouridis left the company's employ.
