Stavros Yallouridis will take charge of BMW's Australian branch with effect from March 1. He replaces the incumbent MD, Guenther Seemann who moves into the role of regional director for the company.
Yallouridis is an Australian ex-pat, 48 years of age and father to three kids. He was born and raised in Melbourne, before moving to Greece where he was employed by Fiat and subsequently BMW.
BMW recruited him as MD for the Greek office in 2003 and, since then, sales of BMW cars, MINIs and motorcycles have all shown substantial gain -- anywhere up to double the number of units sold for each division.
