Nissan’s Y62 Patrol has heaved itself into the Guinness Book of records by breaking the record for “heaviest object pulled by any production vehicle” at the Sharjah International Airport in the United Arab Emirates. Despite its popularity in the Middle East, the more upmarket Patrol has struggled to find homes in Australia, mainly due to only being available with a powerful yet thirsty 5.6-litre petrol V8 and the lack of a diesel alternative, an option that has proved popular with its venerable LandCruiser rival.
