BMW has once again rolled out the 2002 Hommage concept it revealed in May for the Concours d'Elegance Pebble Beach classic car show in California.
However, this time it's painted in the iconic 'Jagermeister' orange and black paint scheme that once adorned BMW's 2002 racing cars in the 1970.
Look closer and you’ll see for Pebble Beach the German car-maker has cheekily replaced the familiar alcoholic drink’s logo for 'Turbomeister' written in the same font, to help pay tribute to the 50th anniversary of the 2002.
It's not the first time we've seen the 2002 Hommage concept.
Originally it was unveiled in Italy earlier this year at the Concorso d’Eleganza at Lake Como’s Villa d’Este in May.
Back in May, BMW admitted the 2002 Hommage was actually inspired by the 1972 2002 turbo rather than the original 1966 2002 sedan - hence the concept's wilder body, wide wheel-arches, deep front splitter and huge air-intake and 'shark nose' styling.
Based on the 272kW/465Nm M2 coupe, the 2002 Hommage follows in the tyre tracks of the CSL Hommage that was also revealed at the Italian classic car show.
Sadly, the repeat reveal doesn't mean the 2002-tribute act is any closer to production, says BMW.
