Peugeot has announced that it will offer a Touring (wagon) version of its sport 508 GT from this month.
Powered by a 2.2-litre HDI (diesel) engine, the 508 GT Touring outputs 150kW/450Nm for a claimed 0-100km/h time of 8.4 seconds. The model receives added equipment befitting its range-topping status, including 18-inch alloy wheels, adaptive bi-xenon headlamps with washers, colour head-up display and an electrically adjustable driver’s seat with memory function. An electrically-operated tailgate is available as an option for $1000.
Also unique to GT variants is a double wishbone front suspension arrangement with drop-link hub carrier in lieu of the traditional MacPherson strut setup.
