Porsche prices creeping up again
Model year 15 equipment upgrades bring price risesPorsche Cars Australia (PCA) has announced higher prices for new 2015 models of Boxster, Cayman, 911 and Panamera. Only Macan and Cayenne SUVs are unaffected, the smaller SUV being new to market and the Cayenne due for an update later this year.
The latest price list has been issued a little over a year since the prestige importer took an axe to prices of the sports cars and the Cayenne. In the meantime the upgraded Panamera had been launched locally, but without change to most variants in the range – the exception being the Panamera S E Hybrid, which dropped in price by $3600.
The volatile pricing reflects the apparent long-standing conflict between the importer and the factory, although PCA has previously informed motoring.com.au that Porsche Chief Executive Matthias Mueller had offered to investigate Australian pricing – which was the catalyst for the major price reductions back in April 2013.
We've compiled a list of the models that have risen in price – complete with specification upgrades. These are as follows:
Boxster manual - $103,300 (+$1800), now standard with Tyre Pressure Monitoring
Boxster PDK - $108,290 (+$1800), now standard with Tyre Pressure Monitoring
Boxster S manual - $129,400 (+$2900), now standard with Tyre Pressure Monitoring
Boxster S PDK - $134,390 (+$2900), now standard with Tyre Pressure Monitoring
Boxster GTS manual - $146,000 (no change), now standard with Tyre Pressure Monitoring
Boxster GTS PDK - $152,290 (+$1300), now standard with Tyre Pressure Monitoring
Cayman GTS manual - $161,400 (no change), now standard with Tyre Pressure Monitoring
Cayman GTS PDK - $167,690 (+$1300), now standard with Tyre Pressure Monitoring
No change to pricing for base model and Cayman S
