Porsche wheels out new Turbo 911s

Facelifted Turbo 911s snapped on test prior to Detroit show launch in 2009

These exclusive pics taken by spy photographers Carparazzi show close-to-final prototypes of the facelifted Porsche 911 Turbo Coupe and Cabrio models that are expected to see the light of day for the first time at the 2009 Detroit motor show.

The changes tend to be subtle but are extensive nonetheless, with reworked front and rear aprons, new exhaust outlet surrounds, and some revisions to the headlights and tail lights.

There's no word of cabin changes, but some detail reworking could be expected.

The next Turbo 911s will introduce the latest versions of the direct injection Porsche boxer six, in both 3.6 and 3.8-litre capacities and with the availability of the new PDK seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
