Here you go...pics of Porsche's GT2 as a 997. It's not disguised, nor is it completely production-ready -- according to those fiends of the F-stop, our friends at Carparazzi.
We would love to know what they were driving to keep up with the almost-faster-than-light GT2, which they suggest should top 320km/h in production trim -- that's a first for a road-going 911 model.
To reach that speed, the GT2 is expected to muster over 520 horses. That's something like 50 more horsepower than the 911 Turbo, but the GT2 will channel that power through two fewer drive wheels.
With the more elegant styling of the 997-type Porsche, the new model was identified by its 996 GT2-style rear spoiler and its lack of front fog lights. It's possible the spoiler will change before the car goes on sale, later this year.
