Additional pictures of the upcoming drop-top version of BMW’s M4 have surfaced, thanks to Automedia; and as expected, it looks like the M4 Coupe. The M4 Cabrio adopts the same styling components as its fixed roof twin, gaining an aggressive body kit, huge bonnet bulge and quad exhaust pipes. Obviously, the biggest difference between the Coupe and Cabrio is that the M4 Cabrio comes equipped with a folding hard top roof, ready to raise or drop at the sign of a weather change.
The next generation M4 Coupe will be powered by an all new turbocharged inline six-cylinder petrol engine, good for 317kW of power, 550Nm of torque and a dash to 100km in just 4.1 seconds. Expect the M4 Cabrio to perform a few tenths of a second slower, as the folding hard top roof will bump up kerb weight.
