Jaguar's eagerly awaited SVR variant of its excellent F-Pace has been spotted testing in Germany at the infamous Nurburgring.
Little is known about the SVR, but what we can see from the spy pics taken at the green hell is that the SVR will come to market with a heavily revised front end featuring gaping intakes to help cool down the stove-hot engine.
Which engine the SVR will use however is a matter of conjecture. Some believe the F-Pace will use Jaguar Land Rover's tried and tested 5.0-litre supercharged V8. Others are suggesting that the 3.0-litre supercharged V6, currently used in the F-Pace S, might yet have more performance to be coaxed out of it.
Power is another debatable point, and will depend on where Jaguar sees the SVR sitting in the marketplace. If the F-Pace SVR is to compete against the likes of Porsche's Macan Turbo, expect power to be around 300kW. However, if Jaguar fancies pitting the SVR against the likes of BMW's ludicrous X6 M or Mercedes' equally bonkers GLC 63 AMG, expect the F-Pace SVR to pack a 400 plus kilowatt punch.
Other things to note from the spy pics are the gargantuan brakes hiding behind the rather plain looking wheels, and the lack of an equally ridiculous exhaust pipe set up, which you can bet will look a lot more menacing when the SVR is revealed.
There is no official word from Jaguar in regards to when the F-Pace SVR will be revealed, however sources claim it will be aimed at entering the market in 2018, so expect a big reveal sometime next year, in Geneva perhaps.
On a side note, there is a very real chance that this SVR test mule may have also been testing for the rumoured Range Rover Sport Coupe, however this is yet to be confirmed.
