Skoda's seven-seat SUV, the Kodiaq, is kinda named after a bear. But unlike the teddy bears in the kids' song, this bear's trip to the woods was no picnic, as the unlucky crew discovered too late.
These spy pics are the first to reveal the Kodiaq in what will eventually be its production state. Prior to this we've seen what is basically a mule with Yeti panels stretched across the platform and running gear.
Wearing rego plates issued by the Czech Republic, the car pictured here is still disguised, but the proportions are clearer and the frontal styling looks likely to emulate that of the Superb. Notice too how the heavy sculpture line along the flanks of the VisionS Concept has been masked up in the case of the test vehicle .
It's difficult to tell for sure, but the show car's grille looks more upright than the test vehicle's, and the clamshell bonnet appears to be locked in for the production model.
Expect a Paris debut later this year, followed by a local launch sometime in 2017.
