In good news for anyone looking to purchase a 2026 Subaru Solterra or Trailseeker electric SUV – and terrible news for those that recently have – the pair have just received hefty price cuts Down Under, with as much as $4000 wiped.

Effective this week (from May 14), the price cuts extend to all variants – AWD and AWD Touring – in the Solterra and Trailseeker ranges and come with no equipment or specification changes.
The Solterra’s $2000 saving now sees it align with its twin-under-the-skin Toyota bZ4X AWD in top-spec form (both now $67,990 plus ORCs), however the entry-level single-motor bZ4X, for which Subaru doesn’t offer an equivalent, still significantly undercuts its sibling at $55,990 (plus ORCs).
As for the larger Trailseeker – due in local showrooms imminently – Subaru has wiped $4000 off the list prices, meaning prices are now $63,990 (AWD) and $69,990 (AWD Touring), each before on-road costs.

Subaru Australia has pointed to its “ongoing commitment to delivering excellent value for its customers” as the rationale behind the move, saying it aims to remain competitively priced without compromising on the quality, performance or innovation that Subaru customers expect.
So what does this mean for those that’ve just put their name – or deposit – down for an MY26 Solterra or Trailseeker?
Subaru says customers that’ve recently placed an order or are currently finalising a purchase should contact their local Subaru retailer for “further guidance on how this update may apply to their purchase”.
