The Segway Ninebot GoKart Pro Lamborghini Edition is one wicked electric ride

It's Mario Kart meets Lamborghini Aventador in this latest collaboration for the Italian carmaker with former Segway maker.

The Segway Ninebot GoKart Pro has been around for a while but has been given a whole new flavour thanks to this pimped out mini Lamborghini special edition release.

The Segway Ninebot GoKart Pro Lamborghini Edition is painted in the iconic Lambo yellow known as ‘Giallo Orion’ and includes the Italian car maker’s raging bull badges placed on the nose as well as the wheels to give you the full forza feeling.

The go-kart has been given special tyres for improved drifting performance, Lamborghini inspired rear wing spoiler and also an engine sound profile emulation system that replicates the roaring V10 sound of the real deal. You can even link the go-kart to a phone app to measure performance, set different driving modes and speeds as well as diagnostics.

The all-electric kart has a 432Wh battery pack with four air ducts and it’s said that you’ll be able to go for 62 laps of a 400m circuit at an average speed of 40 km/h. It does have a 100kg max weight limit so obviously the lighter the driver is, the greater distance they'll get out of the battery pack.

The Segway Ninebot GoKart Pro Lamborghini Edition really takes go-karts to the next level, not only from the performance and the faux engine sounds, but the striking and sleek design crossed with the iconic colour scheme.

The go-kart has been launched in China, where Segway Ninebot’s parent company Xiaomi is based and will set keen go-kart riders back 9,999 Chinese Yuan, or around $2,000 AUD.

Ninebot, which purchased two-wheeled, self-balancing personal transporter Segway in 2015, is one of 27 startups backed by Xiaomi, dubbed as China’s Apple. They’ve even created the world’s first transparent TV!

Just by looking at it we can tell it would make for an awesome afternoon of sliding around a track or out the front of our house, but it’s still unclear whether this special edition will make it to Australia. If you just want the standard Segway Ninebot S Gokart, you can pick one up in Australia at retailers like JB-HiFi for around $1799.
