Lamborghini has pulled the drapes off the 2022 Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo EVO2, an updated version of the racer that competes in the car-maker's one-make race series.
Based heavily on the Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo EVO that was unveiled three years ago, the latest racing Lambo has been created for the 2022 race season by the car-maker's Squadra Corse motorsport division.
It boasts heavily revised aerodynamics and slimmer LED lights at the front and rear, with the latter said to pay tribute to the design of the legendary Countach.
Up front, the spoiler lip is claimed to be inspired by the road-legal Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo Omologata, with a pair of curtain air intakes and a large carbon-fibre rear wing.
Other changes include more liberal use of carbon-fibre, while the entire rear fenders are now made out of a single panel for a smoother surface that features improved air management.
Other changes include new 390mm front steel stoppers that are 10mm larger than the previous discs. The callipers have also been modified to ensure a larger surface area for the pads.
Under the rear bonnet, the naturally-aspirated 5.2-litre V10 produces 456kW, with all its might channelled to the rear wheels via a sequential six-speed gearbox.
Set to be officially revealed on May 28 at the second round of the Super Trofeo Europe series at the Paul Ricard track in France, the Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo EVO2 will be priced from €250,000 ($A390,000).
Since 2009, 950 drivers have raced in the Super Trofeo one-make series that has tackled the most prestigious tracks in the world.
In April, Lamborghini celebrated the production of its 400th Huracan race car.
