Swansong 2024 Lamborghini Huracan STJ revealed

Raging Bull promises this really is the last Huracan special as hybrid V8 successor approaches

It seems Lamborghini just cannot let go of its soul-stirring V10…

Heralding what will most definitely be the last V10 hurrah for Italy’s other high-performance vehicle maker, the Raging Bull brand has just debuted the 2024 Lamborghini Huracan STJ as the ultimate expression of its entry-level supercar.

Based on the track-focused Huracan STO and limited to a production run of just 10 units globally, the STJ (Super Trofeo Jota) is fitted with a Lamborghini Squadra Corse-developed aero package that builds on the STO’s with two extra carbon-fibre flicks on the nose and a refined wing what’s said to develop 10 per cent more downforce.

No changes have been made to the sonorous 5.2-litre petrol V10 that resides behind the cabin, meaning the STO’s 470kW/585Nm outputs remain and continue to be harnessed by a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Drive is sent exclusively to the rear axle while the chassis has been upgraded via four-way adjustable, motorsport-derived shock absorbers that allow for softer springs at all four corners without any detriment to dynamics – at least according to Lamborghini, which says the combination actually increases steering response.

The nippier front-end combines with the extra downforce and bespoke Bridgestone Potenza Race tyres to shave a second off the STO’s best lap time around the 6.22km Nardo Technical Center Handling Track.

Exterior paint colour options extend to a blue or grey body in tandem with a black roof, separated by red and white upper and lower pin-striping, while the interior takes on a more subdued black theme for the Alcantara upholstery with red stitching.

All vehicles feature a numbered carbon-fibre plaque with ‘1 of 10’ lettering.

No pricing details have been announced, but we’re confident all 10 examples of the limited-edition have already been sold at exorbitant transaction prices, reflecting what Lamborghini promises will be “the last celebration of the super sports car equipped with the V10 engine”.

“The naturally aspirated V10 engine is a symbol of Automobili Lamborghini’s history, contributing to the success of the Huracan family first presented in 2014, which by the end of the year will be replaced by an all-new super sports car equipped with a new hybrid powertrain,” said the Italian car-maker.
