2023 Renault Koleos Iconic Edition adds heaps of value
Ousted on-road costs and extra equipment make new limited-edition one of the best-value versions of the French mid-size SUVAustralia’s Renault Koleos line-up has a new luxury flagship in the form of the 2023 Renault Koleos Iconic Edition, which is now available for $48,990 drive-away in 2WD guise and $51,490 drive-away in AWD form.
Just 400 examples of the Iconic Edition are being made available by Renault in Australia, where the temporary Koleos flagship comes with a drive-away price tag – unlike the rest of the mid-size French SUV line-up.
Said pricing is $2990 upstream of the now-penultimate Koleos Intens variants, but the inclusion of statutory on-road costs means the Iconic Editions are actually cheaper by the time they’re in your driveaway – and they come with more equipment.
Based on the already well-equipped Intens grade, the Iconic Edition bundles in Nappa leather upholstery, metallic paint, unique 19-inch ‘Initiale Paris’ alloy wheels, side steps, floor mats, ‘ICONIC EDITION’ rear badging and the French flag on both B-pillars.
A new and exclusive ‘Amethyst Black’ body colour is also available, as is the choice of ‘Sand Grey’ or black upholstery.
Other standard kit highlights include power-adjustable, heated and cooled front seats with memory and massage functions for the driver, panoramic sunroof, an 8.7-inch portrait central touch-screen with satellite-navigation, 7.0-inch customisable digital instrument cluster, powered hands-free tailgate, automatic headlights and an automated hands-free parking system.
Power (126kW) and torque (226Nm) are provided by a 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine and harnessed by a continuously variable transmission.

It shouldn’t be too long before Renault debuts a new-generation Koleos based on the latest Mitsubishi Outlander and Nissan X-TRAIL, given all three nameplates are currently siblings under skin and co-developed as part of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance.
