2023 Volkswagen Amarok discounted already

Core variants of the 2023 Volkswagen Amarok line-up have been discounted by nearly $5000 just six months after their local launch, with Volkswagen Australia offering drive-away pricing and five years of free servicing on the Core TDI405, Life TDI500 and Style TDI500 dual-cab 4x4 variants this month.

The free servicing offer on the above four-cylinder variants adds another $1800 of savings and will reduce the five-year ownership cost to customers by the best part of $6800.

The discounts mean the Amarok variants in questions temporarily undercut their Ford Ranger equivalents, but it’s worth noting the savings will vary slightly depending on where you live, given the differing statutory on-road costs in each state.

So how much will you pay?

The base 2023 Volkswagen Amarok Core TDI405 can now be had from $54,990 drive-away, the Life TDI500 from $59,661 drive-away and the Style TDI500 from $58,990 drive-away.

Six-cylinder Amarok customers are being catered for as well, with the free servicing offer also applying to the gutsier Style TDI600, thereby saving $1801.

Volkswagen says the December discounts have been made possible by healthy inventory levels and a “significant” amount of incoming stock, which should shorten the three- to six-month wait on V6 flagships.

“While we thank patient customers for moderate wait times for the Amarok PanAmericana and Aventura at the top end of our range, we are pleased to offer these deals on other variants that are readily available in showrooms,” Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles director Ryan Davies said.
