INEOS Automotive has revealed its first limited-edition: the 2024 INEOS Grenadier 1924.
Built to celebrate the centenary of iconic British outerware brand Belstaff, the Grenadier 1924 is defined by a unique set of Belstaff-inspired appointments both inside and out.
Exterior upgrades for the British-designed, Austrian-engineered and French-built off-road wagon comprise a dechromed black grille, dark grey skid plates, 17-inch diamond-cut wheels, Magic Mushroom or Inky Black bodywork, ‘1 of 1924’ plaques and an orange Belstaff centenary logo on the side intake.
Meantime, interior touches include a dark green and black colourway (including a black headliner), saddle leather-wrapped steering wheel, handbrake grip and instrument panel grab handle, plus black leather upholstery, ‘1 of 1924’ glovebox plaque and a Belstaff phoenix logo on the overhead console.
“Style that lasts a century deserves to be celebrated, and the Grenadier 1924 is both great looking and a seriously assured drive,” said INEOS Automotive CEO Lynn Calder.
“Belstaff has been trusted by generations of bikers, sportspeople and trend setters, so we know we're in good company.”
The INEOS Group bought Belstaff in 2017, which explains why its automotive division is celebrating its clothing brand’s centenary with the release of its inaugural special-edition.
Just 1924 examples of the Grenadier 1924 will be produced globally and while local pricing hasn’t yet been announced, order books will open on June 26 and a “carefully curated set of options” will be available “to push the limits of design as well as off-road capability”.
Beyond the 17-inch wheels and BFGoodrich all-terrain tyres, there are no obvious departures from the regular Grenadier’s mechanical make-up, including turbocharged BMW-sourced six-cylinder petrol and diesel engines, a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission, full-time four-wheel drive system with Tremec low-range transfer case and five-link suspension on live axles at both ends.
