2024 RAM 1500 TRX Final Edition priced at a premium
World’s wildest factory pick-up is going extinct after these last 130 units are soldThe 2024 RAM 1500 TRX Final Edition has been priced at $249,950 plus on-road costs just hours after its successor, the 2025 RAM 1500 RHO, made its public debut.
That makes the TRX Final Edition $25,000 more expensive than the standard TRX, which has consistently commanded wait times in excess of 18 months but is now freely available in limited numbers.
Just 130 examples of the Final Edition – which brings a series of unique appointments – have been allocated for Australia, where the order book is now open.
The TRX Final Edition was first shown in August last year as the flagship of the DT-series RAM 1500 pick-up range and the last to be fitted with the formidable 523kW/882Nm supercharged 6.2-litre HEMI V8 that made the TRX an industry icon.
Still hitting 100km/h in a claimed 4.5 seconds with the help of full-time 4x4 and an eight-speed automatic transmission, the Final Edition adds exclusive appointments including 6.2-litre badging and decals.
Other unique additions include ‘Satin Titanium’ bead-lock capable wheels, three new exterior colourways (Delmonico Red, Night Edge Blue and Harvest Sunrise), Patina cabin stitching, a numbered centre console plaque, ‘TRX’ embroidered seats, carbon-fibre trim and a unique cluster splash screen.
The rest of the TRX formula is unchanged and comprises 2.6-inch Bilstein Black Hawk e2 adaptive dampers, forged suspension components, Dana axles, a coil-sprung rear-end, Baja drive mode, mud tyres and that monstrous powertrain.
Other standard equipment highlights include a 19-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, head-up display, digital rear-view mirror and eight-way power-adjustable front seats.
RAM Trucks Australia previously said our market would receive a good portion of the 4000-unit global production run for the TRX Final Edition, so the now-confirmed allocation of just 130 examples (3.25 per cent) may come as a surprise to local fans.
Still, local executives are far from disappointed.
