Audi's model premiere of the all-new A5 coupe will take place simultaneously at the Melbourne and Geneva motor shows.
The unveiling of the new two-door hardtop model in Australia tonight will incorporate a live webcast and video podcast, allowing people around the country and overseas to view the occasion from Melbourne.
If you haven't already subscribed for up-to-the-minute updates, Audi has created a microsite just for tonight's reveal.
The microsite features a countdown timer to the occasion, and from 6.30pm onwards, vistiors to the site can view live footage of the unveiling... almost as if they were at the stand!
Edited footage will be available later for viewing at the Audi Australia website here, and visitors are also offered the option to download the footage as a video podcast.
According to Audi, Australia is the first country in the company's Asia Pacific market to implement this online initiative.
The company says that footage from the Melbourne motor show's Media and Industry Day, featuring the unveiling of the new S3, A6 allroad quattro and TT Roadster, was a popular drawcard at its website on the day.
Audi says that more than 3500 people watched the official press presentation live on the web from its site on Friday's opening day.
