Mercedes-Benz’s entire range in Australia is about to get more expensive, following the introduction of price rises on every car it sells of between $600 and $6000, depending on the model.
Following the rises, the firm’s best-selling 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLA will cost $700 more for the entry GLA 200, with the cheapest model now costing $63,600 plus on-roads.
Confusingly, the price rise isn’t uniform across the model range, with the GLA 250 4MATIC ($80,500) being hit with an $800 price bump, while the flagship Mercedes-AMG GLA 35 4MATIC ($99,000) is now $1300 more expensive.
The price rise on the GLA range is especially galling following a shake-up of the popular ’Benz SUV that saw a panoramic roof ($1800) and metallic paint ($800 to $1569) dropped as standard equipment to become options.
Another popular model to be levied with higher pricing is the C-Class sedan that now has an entry model that is $900 more, with the C 200 Night Edition $87,800 plus on-roads.
At the top of the tree is the plug-in hybrid Mercedes-AMG C 63 E Performance ($193,100), that is now $2200 more than before.
Mercedes-Benz Australia has not revealed the reasons for the price rises, nor enhanced any equipment lines for each model.
Receiving the biggest price rise is, perhaps unsurprisingly, the Mercedes-Maybach S 680, whose price has rocketed by $6023 to $576,600 plus on-roads.
Mercedes-Benz has already announced that it plans to roll out more plug-in hybrid versions of existing models, including the C-Class and the GLE mid-size SUV, but has not used the recent pricing update to provide any times for the electrified ’Benz models.
