Audi Centre Melbourne under new management

Audi has joined the growing family of automotive brands sold through Melbourne's specialist in European marques, the Zagame Group.

The retailer has added Audi Centre Melbourne's Swanston Street and Richmond premises to the list of dealerships under its control. For Audi's part, the change of ownership earlier this month is an opportunity to raise the prestige brand's profile in the southern capital.

"We relish the opportunity to build on our success with such a strong partner," Audi MD Uwe Hagen was quoted as saying in a press release. "The focus on quality demonstrated by Zagame and the personal attention to growth in Melbourne that we believe Bobby Zagame will deliver, are both key elements underpinning our confidence in the new ownership of Audi Centre Melbourne."

Bobby Zagame, dealer principal for the newly-acquired dealership, acknowledges that Audi Centre Melbourne, which opened its doors in 2004, is already kicking goals, but the franchise's current sales volumes are a stepping stone to further success under the Zagame banner.
