The success of last year's limited edition C 200 KOMPRESSOR Sport Edition has prompted Mercedes-Benz to offer sports options across its C-Class compact executive range.
Dubbed the Sport Edition +, the package is offered across the C-Class sedan and Estate model range.
Mercedes-Benz says the Sport Edition + option pack provides customers "the opportunity to add an extra personal touch to their vehicle, whilst showing off the dynamic, sporty personality of the C-Class."
Said Horst von Sanden, managing director of the Mercedes Car Group in Australia: “Following the runaway success and popularity of the Sport Edition package in the C 200 KOMPRESSOR, we have decided to extend this package further across the C-Class Saloon and Wagon model range.
“The C-Class continues to be our most popular model in our growing line-up of passenger vehicles, with the Sport Edition + further extending this appeal,” he said.
The new Sport Edition + package features six-spoke 17-inch alloy wheels, larger front brake discs and detailed calipers, sports suspension as well as bi-xenon headlights with cleaning system. Other items include sports exhaust tailpipe and a subtle AMG bodykit.
Special instruments, climate-control air, brightwork and trim detailing, sports seats (front only) and steering wheel and Sport Edition badging complete the package.
Three additional metallic paint colour options are available for the Sport Edition + package: cubanite silver, jasper blue and carneol red, along with the existing iridium silver and diamond black.
Available on Classic, Elegance and Avantgarde lines, the Sport Edition + package is priced from $4900 on the C350. The package is priced from $6900 on the C230 and $8900 on the C 180 KOMPRESSOR, C 200 KOMPRESSOR and C 220 CDI.
