There's a deeply ingrained stereotype that count on when talking about a visit to Britain; awful weather, terrible food and sketchy electrics. Okay, so that's three things but these stereotypes are about as accurate a drunken archer.
During our latest extended Best of British shoot in the UK we got saturated by rain (and some mud) only twice. And as we explored England and Wales, not one of our British cars had an electrical fire.
As our second foray into all things automotive on the British isles following on from our 2016 epic adventure, we drove prototype EV race cars, convertible rally cars, top-shelf Range Rovers and tyre-frying Aston Martin super cars.
We explored the factories, poked around inside the research and development departments, took a sticky beak in the design studios and even thrashed a burly V8 Land Rover Defender. That thing is just bonkers.
And if you thought that waltzing into a showroom and buying a Volkswagen Golf was an exciting prospect, wait until you see what it's like to buy a $5 million Aston Martin Valkyrie. That showroom is off the scale.
Just don't ask about the plum headlining…
Exploring the mod shops and classic garages, we went face to face with hundreds of millions of dollars’ worth of ultra-rare machinery and even blagged drives in a bunch of classics as we delve into what the Brits are plotting.
Join us as we go behind the scenes to reveal the inner sanctums, the chassis development garages, engine plants and bespoke showrooms to reveal how the Brits are building, customising and delivering some of the most incredible machines on the road today.
Welcome to Best of British 2!
