Block can't stop!

Aussie WRC star joins US ace for more amazing rallying action... and scares some Poms too

The Carsales Network's favourite film star, Ken Block, is back and this time his co-star is Australian rally star, Chris Atkinson. The rally duo teamed up for the latest DC Shoes online video with a very neat (and heavily modified) 1978 Ford Escort Mk 2 to show just how cool a rear-wheel drive rally car can be.

Block purchased the Escort from England to practice his skills, enter some low key events and have a bit of two-wheel drive fun. But in true Block style he didn't leave it stock, having the 2.4-litre four-cylinder Millington engine rebuilt to pump out over 200kW and coupling it with a WRC-style six-speed sequential box complete with steering wheel-mounted paddle-shift.

Earlier this year he took the car to the Team O'Neil Rally School along with a camera crew and Australia's World Rally Championship star Atkinson. The result is the three and a half minutes of awesome you can watch below.

The second video below shows Block attending the UK launch of the new DIRT 2 computer game and taking some unsuspecting punters for a ride in his Subaru Impreza WRX STI. The 'lucky' passengers obviously didn't know what to expect from Block and his tyre-frying routine. It is amazing to see just how loudly some very big men can scream.

Oh, and Mr Block if you feel like heading Down Under we'd be happy to go for a ride with you. We promise only to scream for joy...
