CR-V scores a win with the public

Honda's CR-V has been voted the most popular compact SUV in the Carsales Network's People's Choice Awards

Honda's third-generation CR-V is Australia's most popular compact SUV, according to the online Carsales network.

Award winners are determined by the popular vote of Australian car shoppers who conduct searches and send enquiries on the Carsales Network's websites including carsales.com.au, carpoint.com.au and discountnewcars.com.au.

Honda Australia Managing Director and CEO Yasuhide Mizuno said that Honda was grateful for the public's endorsement.

"We are very pleased to see so many people consider the Honda CR-V for their next SUV purchase," he said. "The CR-V's popularity is a great credit to our engineers and factory workers who have created such a versatile and dependable car."

The first-generation Honda CR-V won the "Gold Medal - Recreational 4WD" from Which Car magazine.

Currently in its third-generation, the Honda CR-V was released in January 2007 and retails from $31,990.
