Deal hunter: Extra $2000 saving on LDV T60 Max for ABN holders

Plus a $3000 discount off top-spec Ford Puma and reduced on-road costs for base Kia Rio automatic

LDV is giving ABN holders the chance to nab the most powerful four-cylinder dual-cab on the market right now with a new special on its 2023 LDV T60 Max Luxe automatic 4x4.

The Chinese brand scraping $2000 off the normal ABN drive-away price of $45,490, which itself is already $2394 cheaper than the ordinary consumer $47,884 drive-away list price.

It gets even better for would-be manual buyers because LDV is including a free upgrade to the automatic version, something usually worth an extra $2104.

LDV made headlines in 2021 when it revealed and launched the T60 Max line-up and its twin-turbo 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine good for a Ranger-busting 160kW/500Nm.

The T60 Max will only hold onto its crown as the most powerful four-cylinder ute in the Australian market for a couple more months, at which point it will be usurped by the 222kW/452Nm turbo-petrol Volkswagen Amarok.

Of course, utes are just one of the core vehicle classes adored by Aussies, with the other being SUVs.

Most brands now have a full arsenal of light, small, medium and large high-riding family buses, and one of the most engaging to drive is the Ford Puma.

2022 Ford Puma ST-Live V

Available in three flavours, the Blue Oval is offering the top-spec 2022 Ford Puma ST-Live V automatic for an even $38,000 drive-away at the moment, and while that might sound pricey for a ‘light’ city runabout, it actually marks a saving of more than $3100 depending on the state or territory you live in.

The ST-Line V blends the standard ST-Line’s sportier chassis tune with most of the luxury and opulence you’d see in the Escape Vignale – hence ‘ST-Line V’ nomenclature and usual $35,890 plus on-road costs list price.

If you don’t have close to $40K to spend on a city-car then perhaps take a look at Kia’s latest Rio offer: $23,590 drive away for the 2022 Kia Rio S automatic, a car usually costing $21,990 plus on-road costs.

While not as sharp as previous offers, the deal still marks a saving of more than $1600 depending on your location of purchase, which is still a handy saving in the current inflationary economic conditions, even more so when you factor in the seven-year/unlimited-kilometre warranty.
