Deal hunter: Huge savings on Nissan Navara 4x4 ute

Competition is really heating up in the popular 4x4 dual-cab ute segment as new models arrive and supplies improve, and Nissan is one brand that’s moving back up the sales charts with a vengeance.

Enter the 2023 Nissan Navara SL 4x4 dual-cab automatic, which is at the affordable end of the Japanese brand’s ute line-up and meets key requirements with its 3500kg braked towing capacity, circa-1000kg payload, 2.3-litre twin-turbo diesel engine (140kW/450Nm) and seven-speed automatic transmission.

The Navara SL 4x4 dual-cab usually retails for $49,850 plus on-road costs, but is currently available from $49,990 drive-away – with an extra $2000 worth of genuine accessories thrown in as well.

On-road costs vary between states and territories but typically run into several thousand dollars for this class of vehicle. Once the accessory bonus is added, Navara buyers could be saving as much as $8000 by the time they’re driving their new ute out of the showroom.

For those after a family-friendly ute-based large SUV, Mitsubishi Australia has thrown down the gauntlet with the 2023 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport GLX 4x2 automatic, which is currently priced at $47,740 drive-away.

That compares to the usual manufacturer’s recommended retail list price of $44,940 plus on-road costs, so you’re saving plenty once those ORCs such as registration, stamp duty and compulsory third-party insurance are factored in.

The deal is further sweetened by the inclusion of a $2000 Towing Package.
