Renault Australia has introduced a special-edition version of its best-selling SUV, the Koleos.
The Renault Koleos Formula Edition is said to be inspired by the French brand’s number one Formula 1 driver, Aussie F1 star and global carsales ambassador Daniel Ricciardo, as well as Renault’s motorsport heritage.
Priced from $36,490 driveaway, the Formula Edition Koleos asks a $1000 premium over the top-spec 2WD Zen variant it’s based on.
However, extras include larger 19-inch alloy wheels with black centre caps, black exterior mirrors, silver side steps and a ‘Formula Edition’ sticker on the tailgate.
Powered by the same 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, other standard features include leather-appointed seats with heating up front, navigation and a full suite of safety including autonomous emergency braking (AEB) and hill start assist.
The Renault Koleos Formula Edition is on sale at Renault dealers now, available in three exterior colour options (Universal White, Metallic Grey and Metallic Black), but Renault says interested buyers should be quick since only a limited number is available. Less than 400 to be exact.
Renault Australia managing director Anouk Poelmann says the brand is confident this new addition will further boost interest and sales of its mid-size SUV.
“The Renault Koleos continues to be the best-selling passenger model in the Renault Australia fleet and we are confident this new addition will further boost interest and sales,” said Poelmann.
“Stylish, spacious and comfortable, the Koleos is driver and passenger friendly, delivering family-sized transport in a fun and sporty way.”
