INEOS Grenadier Safari revealed

Adventure-ready INEOS Grenadier 4x4 off-roader gets fold-down screen, elevated rear seats and canvas roof

INEOS Automotive has launched the new 2023 INEOS Grenadier Safari it has created for adventure tourism, filming, anti-poaching, vets and healthcare professionals who are based out in remote parts of the bush.

Emerging soon after the British 4x4 manufacturer snapped up Botswana-based Kavango Engineering, INEOS says the Grenadier Safari will be the first of many conversions to be offered, not just for the southern African region but worldwide.

Claimed to have been developed with minimal additional engineering required, the Grenadier Safari gets a raised ride height and repositions the off-road switchgear that is normally positioned on the roof panel.

The biggest change has been the removal of the roof structure, which has been replaced by a rollover bar and canvas panel.

Other modifications include the addition of a foldable windscreen and tiered seating to provide the rear passengers unobscured panoramic views.

As well as conversions, Kavango Engineering (now renamed INEOS Kavango) will maintain both the Grenadier and new Grenadier Quartermaster pick-up for the region.

It’s not known what other INEOS-based conversions the engineering hub is working on, but the Botswanan firm employs 70 skilled workers who, until the buyout, were producing more than 200 conversions per year.
