Mercedes-AMG A 45 S 4MATIC+ Limited Edition goes green

The 2025 Mercedes-AMG A 45 S 4MATIC+ Limited Edition hot hatch has arrived in Australia as the perfect hot hatch for buyers that don’t want to slip under the radar.

Available in 'strictly limited numbers', the new Mercedes-AMG A 45 S 4MATIC+ Limited Edition comes painted in the wild Green Light Magno hue that, until now, was reserved only for the flagship AMG GT sports car.

If that wasn't eye-catching enough, the vibrant hatchback bags a black and thin yellow racing stripe that runs from the front to the rear of the car, plus a pair of 'A 45 S' decals for the driver and passenger doors, lower side stripes and a further roundel for the bonnet.

The attention-seeking AMG sports a set of special-edition exclusive 19-inch AMG cross-spoke matte black alloy wheels that get an outer rim and spokes with yet more yellow.

Contrasting the vivid green and yellow, the special A 45 S paint is combined with the AMG Night Package that adds a front splitter, door mirror caps and window trim painted in gloss black.

The AMG Night Pack II has also been thrown in, adding darkened radiator bars and badging, while the door handles and alloy wheel centre caps are all painted black.

Finally, the German brand's high-performance division has also added the AMG Aerodynamics Package that gets the large AMG tailgate spoiler plus other wind-bending elements.

Further exterior details include gloss black AMG brake callipers, a silver AMG fuel cap, and a pair of puddle lamps that project the AMG crest.

On the inside, yellow re-emerges as the stitching on the door panel, dash and AMG Performance ARTICO/Microfibre sport seats, the latter of which also feature 'A 45 S' embroidered into the headrests.

Aluminium trim with the AMG pattern and yellow lettering is present, while the illuminated kickplates and floor mats have yellow 'A 45 S' lettering.

Under the bonnet, the special edition A 45 S keeps the standard car's turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder that kicks out a healthy 310kW/500Nm, which, combined with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel drive, launches the small five-door hatch from 0-100km/h in just 3.9 seconds before topping out at 270km/h.

Available to order now, the new Mercedes-AMG A 45 S 4MATIC+ Limited Edition is priced from $128,400 plus on-road costs – just $7400 more than the standard A 45 S despite including the premium paint, decals, Aero Pack ($2693) and Performance Seats ($3539), among plenty of other options as standard.
