Mitsubishi Motors has revealed another detail of its all-new Pajero ahead of the model’s global debut later this year, confirming the return of its ‘Multi Meter’ display in a fully digital format that’s all but certain to appeal to off-road enthusiasts.

The highly-anticipated new-gen Pajero will feature a digital interpretation of the Triple Multi Meter that’s featured in previous generations of the rugged off-roader, to display key information ahead of the driver.
It provides real-time info such as altitude, compass heading, ambient temperature, pitch and roll angles, and left-right torque distribution.
It’s a modern take on the Pajero’s triple gauge display and although many modern day off-road SUVs deliver much of the same information – if not more – the Japanese brand says the system will give drivers greater confidence off-road, when tackling steep inclines, rocky and muddy trails, and mountain tracks, allowing them to monitor changing vehicle dynamics and environmental conditions at a glance.
The inclusion of torque distribution data also provides an insight into how the Pajero's four-wheel-drive system is responding to varying levels of grip when off-roading.
The all-new Pajero will make its global debut later this year, with Mitsubishi gradually releasing details of the model ahead of its official unveiling.

With the return of one of the Pajero's most recognisable cabin features, Mitsubishi continues to build anticipation for the reborn off-road SUV.
The new Paj is expected to come underpinned by the Triton’s ladder-frame chassis and powered by its 2.4-litre twin-turbo diesel, paired with an eight-speed automatic.
It’s also expected to bring 3500kg towing and a wading depth of around 800mm.
More details on its powertrains, technology and local ETA – as well as more clues as to whether it’ll eventually spawn a Ralliart model – are expected to be announced later this year.
