Volvo has published its second tease of its forthcoming V90 Cross Country wagon ahead of the car's reveal on September 29 at the Paris motor show.
This time round a single image of the jacked-up V90 under drapes was published on the Swedish car-maker's Facebook page.
The fourth-generation SUV alternative, that's set to go on sale early 2017, is a natural rival to Audi's A6 Allroad or the much cheaper Subaru Outback.
Last week Volvo teased a single image of the V90 Cross Country in a video that was made to celebrate 20 years of the jacked-up all-wheel drive estate.
With images already leaked online from a reported brochure shoot, the V90 sticks to the original recipe of offering the wagon with a raised ride height and tough protective plastic cladding on the wheel-arches, door sills as well as front and rear bumpers.
The all-wheel drive V90 also comes with prominent metal front and rear bash plates, plus new alloy wheels.
Under the bonnet the Cross Country is likely to be offered with the most powerful diesel and petrols from the current V90 line-up.
That means it will come with a turbocharged 2.0-litre 235kW/400Nm petrol T6 engine or the 2.0-litre turbo-diesel 173kW/480Nm D5.
Later on from launch, the 300kW/640Nm T8 hybrid that technically is already all-wheel drive, as it has an electric motor to drive the rear axle, could also be offered with the Cross Country.
Expect at least one more tease of the off-road Volvo V90 wagon before its French motor show reveal.
