SVX badge for hard-core Land Rovers

In a report published by American enthusiasts' magazine, Car and Driver, SVO MD John Edwards admitted that serious off-road fans will be able to purchase Land Rover SVX variants "relatively soon." SVO has already revealed SVR-badged performance models and SVAutobiography luxury models for Jaguar and Land Rover, but SVX will be exclusive to Land Rover, the report indicates.
Edwards said in the story that the SVX sub-brand would provide "added capability" for Land Rover (and Range Rover) drivers headed bush. Asked whether such vehicles would be anything like the Bowler Wildcat or the Mercedes-Benz G 63 AMG 6x6, Edwards hedged.
"It could be either of those things, it could be both," he replied. "This is the third side of the product triangle, and one that we think has got huge potential."
In the article, it was speculated that the SVX models would have to wait for a new Defender to arrive – but since that's some way off yet, it seems more likely the flagship Range Rover will be the first to get the SVX treatment.
