Not content with heralding its vision for autonomous vehicles with the futuristic F 015 concept at the Consumer Electronics show in January, Mercedes-Benz has now flagged its intention to reveal a driverless people-mover at this week's Tokyo show.
Dubbed the Mercedes-Benz Vision Tokyo and just previewed via this single teaser image, the German car-maker's latest self-driving concept will be one of many autonomous vehicles at Japan's biannual auto show, which this year opens on October 28.
No information has been revealed so far for the concept, which Benz describes only as “luxurious and progressive”, so it's unclear if the van-shaped show car will feature more seats than the lounge-themed F 015.
It will likely feature similar self-driving technologies to the F 015, but could also preview a sleeker new shape for the next-generation Mercedes-Benz V-Class.
