Upgraded 2025 Genesis GV60 here in Q3

Refreshed exterior and cabin shown along with a bigger batter and more range for premium Korean EV

UPDATE 08/03/2025: Genesis has confirmed the key upgrades for its 2025 GV60, the main one being the 84kWh lithium-ion battery out of the related Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6.

The enlarged powerpack lifts the GV60's maximum cruising range from 470km to 481km while a revised chassis – new shock absorber valves, rear hydro bushings, optimised steering ratio – set-up ensures a better balance of comfort and dynamism.

Other enhancements include a new Electric Active Sound Design system, extra sound-proofing, updated active safety systems, a new built-in camera, a digital center mirror, and walk away locking.

The rest of the facelifted model's details can be found below, with pricing and local specification details to be announced closer to its local launch in the new financial year.

Original 06/01/2025: The facelifted 2025 Genesis GV60 has been shown to the world ahead of its Australian release in the third quarter of the year, with the luxury electric crossover donning a new exterior, interior, more technology and almost certainly an enhanced powertrain.

Details on the latter are few and far between at the time of writing, however it’s expected the latest GV60 will adopt the same enlarged 84kWh battery pack as the updated Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6 – something that will add range without detracting from the packaging or capability.

While we wait for confirmation, the refreshed body is headlined by new bumpers, headlights and 21-inch alloy wheels, plus body-coloured skid plates and wheel-arch cladding.

The changes are all subtle but supposedly help the GV60 look more athletic and elegant as per the Genesis design language, however there’s no sign or mention of the fire-breathing Magma version which we already know will look radically different.

Inside the cabin you’ll find a similar interior design to the outbound model, albeit with the Hyundai Group’s latest-generation 27-inch ‘connected car Integrated Cockpit’ (ccIC) infotainment system crowning the dash and supposedly giving the impression of extra space.

A new three-spoke steering wheel injects an extra element of sportiness to the ensemble and largely rounds out the interior updates.

The current GV60 line-up comprises the $103,384 AWD and the $110,384 Performance AWD, both of which feature dual-motor powertrains and the previous 77.4kWh battery providing up to 470km of WLTP range.

Prices will undoubtedly increase for the facelifted model while the Magma hero will probably start north of $120,000.
