Volkswagen Australia has managed to secure freer supply of its flagship Amarok PanAmericana and Aventura, making it easier than ever for consumers to sample and access the off-road and luxury ute heroes.
carsales understands the mid-range Style TDI600 has accounted for more than 50 per cent of all second-gen Amarok sales thus far – in line with VW projections – while the two top-spec offerings have been hindered by strong global demand.
Through some tactical negotiating however, VW Australia has managed to leverage a stronger allocation of PanAmericanas and Aventuras from the factory going forward.
VW Commercial Vehicles director Ryan Davies said this was the first time in 18 months Amarok supply has been free enough to meet every customer’s need and budget.
“The Amarok has long been loved by Australian customers for its combination of elevated Volkswagen feel and style, hard-working off-road toughness and superior turbocharged four-cylinder and V6 performance,” he said.
“It is fitting that loyal Amarok customers typically pursue the middle and higher specification variants because that’s the premium feel that Volkswagen delivers inside and on the road – finally with the PanAmericana and Aventura, we can meet this demand thanks to extra supply.”
Confirmation of the extra supply was made in tandem with the announcement of a series of drive-away offers to help offload residual 2023/2024 stock and keep the bulk-selling Style ticking along.
MY23 Style TDI500s are available from $66,990 drive-away until March 31, while the TDI600 can be had from $70,990 – numbers that increase to $69,740 and $73,740 respectively for the MY24 versions.
Similar discounts are being applied to the lesser Core and Life grades while the PanAmericana and Aventura are also on sale on a state-by-state basis.
The off-road-focused 2025 Volkswagen Amarok 10 Deserts Edition will arrive next quarter priced somewhere in the $60,000s plus on-road costs.
