1. Audi RS4

Making its debut in the Australian market nearly 20 years ago, the Audi RS 4 was originally a wagon only. A sedan version of the Audi RS 4 followed in a new generation from 2006 and then a convertible a year later. A twin-turbo V6 gave way to a naturally-aspirated V8, which carried through to 2015. In 2018 the Audi RS 4 returned to a twin-turbo V6 once more. An all-new generation of RS 4 is due in Australia this year but will continue with the twin-turbo V6, driving through an eight-speed automatic transmission to all four wheels as before. Natural competitors for the RS 4 are the BMW M3 and Mercedes-AMG C 63.
