Lamborghini has launched the 2023 Lamborghini Huracan STO, Tecnica and EVO Spyder 60th Anniversary limited-editions at the Milan Design Week in Italy, celebrating 60 years of supercar production.
Making just 60 units of each variant, Lamborghini claims the three limited-editions based on the Huracan STO, Tecnica and EVO Spyder are the last opportunity to snap up its V10-powered supercar.
This follows the recent announcement that the final batch of Huracans is now sold out ahead of an all-new hybrid replacement coming to market.
Available in two different liveries per car that are said to highlight the Huracan’s unique lines, each of the special-edition supercars comes with a ‘1 of 60’ carbon-fibre plaque and ‘60th’ logo painted on the doors and embroidered on the seats.
With the track-ready 470kW Huracan STO, Lamborghini’s Centro Stile design department and the Ad Personam bespoke division collaborated to create the new treatments, including the matte blue paint and blue-tinted exposed carbon-fibre.
Inside, there’s a black and grey Alcantara trim.
The second livery blends grey and black paint with exposed carbon-fibre, while inside there’s a black and grey leather cabin with red leather detailing.
Both ride on 20-inch Hek forged alloy wheels that feature a matte black finish.
The first of the two Huracan Tecnica 60th Anniversary Editions gains white and green paint and a black interior. The second blends grey, black and red hues that is replicated within.
Both versions ride on 20-inch Damiso gloss black rims.
Finally, the EVO Spyder gets the option of either white and green paint, and a black, red and white cabin. The alternative livery includes a combination of blue and white paint that is replicated inside.
The drop-top also rides on the black Damiso alloy wheels.
“Super-sports cars are all about two things: performance and design, and Milan Design Week is an ideal setting for us to showcase the latter,” said Lamborghini boss Stephan Winkelmann.
“The Revuelto is the latest addition in a proud heritage of V12-powered automobiles coming out of Sant’Agata Bolognese, with many of them having become icons of automotive history.
“Alongside our new V12, the special-editions of the Huracan not only celebrate the 60th anniversary of our brand, but also give our customers maybe the last chance to purchase an otherwise sold-out V10-powered Lamborghini.”
For the next generation, the wild naturally-aspirated 5.2-litre V10 will be pensioned off and replaced by an all-new plug-in hybrid powertrain centred around either a V8 or V10-based combustion engine.
Instead of a large pure-electric range, Lamborghini will use the addition of the hybrid’s extra battery, inverters and its electric motor to boost performance, adding crucial low-down torque that’s been lacking on the Huracan’s 5.2-litre V10 compared to its turbocharged rivals.
The added benefit of the new powertrain will be lower emissions and improved efficiency.
