Aussie debut at Hamilton Island for Audi Q2

Audi Australia is presenting its new Q2 SUV at Hamilton Island for a week, prior to an east-coast tour ahead of the car's official launch to the local media in February next year. Customer deliveries of the Q2 will commence during the same month.

"We are delighted to have the opportunity to present the all-new Audi Q2 to our guests here on Hamilton Island, so far ahead of its Australian launch next year," said Audi Australia MD, Andrew Doyle.

"This important new entry point into the Audi SUV range has its own distinctive design language, and when it arrives next year, it will really raise the bar for the level of technology available at its price point.

"Combined with its versatility, the new Q2 will really carve out its own segment in the compact SUV segment, and over the course of the next few weeks, we can't wait to show it off to the many prospective customers that have already expressed interest."

Included in the car's safety equipment list from launch is Audi pre sense front – an autonomous emergency braking system with pedestrian recognition – along with satellite navigation for the MMI infotainment system, and other features the likes of adaptive cruise control (with Stop & Go function), lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assistant and rear cross-traffic assist.

Boot space in the Q2, which rides on the same modular platform as Volkswagen's Tiguan, will measure from 405 litres with the rear seats in place, to as much as 1050 litres with the seats folded.
