DETROIT MOTOR SHOW: Audi teases Q8 in new vid
Flagship luxury SUV teased in new film ahead of official reveal, features new fingerprint entry techAudi has released a new video tease of its Q8 concept just days before it's officially revealed at the Detroit motor show.
The video, posted on social media over the weekend, features some of the new tech the production-ready luxury SUV is expected to offer that includes a high-tech keyless entry system that appears to include fingerprint recognition to enter and start the car.
Also noticeable in the video is the 'e-tron' logo on the front bumper announcing that the Q8 will be revealed as a plug-in hybrid or, potentially, a new pure-electric powertrain.
In any case, the evidence of the 'quattro' is the Q8, that's been created to sit above the current Q7, will come standard with all-wheel drive.
Even the headlights of the new concept are thought to come with new OLED headlamps and tail lights.
Inside, the short vid also previews the Audi's next-gen virtual concept.
Tipped to enter production in early 2018, it hasn't been confirmed but it's almost certain the Q8 will be sold in Australia.
More will be revealed following its unveiling at the US show.
